When designers Annie Chagnon and Amélie Gingras-Rioux met while working at the same boutique, they became friends and began to cherish the same dream: to launch their own fashion brand. In 2005, they decided to put their plan into action and, together, founded Annie 50, combining the first name of the designer, who shares her initial with her co-founder, with the number 50, a nod to the brand's retro inspirations.
In their Montreal studio loft, Annie and Amélie work together to create sketches of their collections, then perfect them with their teams. Annie 50 wants make the modern woman blossom. The collections offer season after season a rich selection of prints, colours and materials. The minimization of ecological impact through local production has also been one of the brand's core values since its creation.
