About the Brand

Carine Melkinian was born and raised in Marsaille, France. She founded Hana San in late 2016. The name Hana San is the first name of Carine’s eldest daughter “Hana” and “San” which is the Japanese word for title of respect that is added to the end of a person’s name.

With a stroke of a pencil, Hana San dares, creates, imagines and sublimates shapes and materials. A perfect balance between elegance and femininity, ensured by a unique sense of identity and attention to detail. The shirt, the central and essential part of the women's wardrobe, is the DNA of Hana San. Hana San now creates looks around the shirt for a complete wardrobe, with chic and refined minimalism. Over the seasons, linen, jeans, silk and merino come to decorate the collections.
